SteveSimsSteve Sims, EA, FTB Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate, has worked with the Franchise Tax Board for more than 25 years as an auditor, collections supervisor, and manager of the Department’s Education and Outreach Section. In his role as the Advocate, Steve identifies developing trends related to departmental problems by working with taxpayers and tax practitioner groups. He also makes recommendations for changes to departmental policies and practices to better enable taxpayers to meet their tax obligations.

Gina RodriguezGina Rodriquez, EA is the former Sacramento editor for Spidell Publishing. Gina is now the Vice President of State Tax Policy for the California Taxpayers Association. Gina is an expert on FTB policy and procedures and has provided legislative analysis for Spidell’s Online Research Package. She has a Bachelor of Science in business administration (accounting) from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Science in taxation from Golden Gate University.
