Expect more FTB liens
Friday, November 11, 2011

With their new EDR technology and increased bank reporting, expect the FTB to increase the number of bank levies on delinquent taxpayers. Also, beginning in April 2012 the FTB will be receiving additional information from banks on account holders. This information will be used to collect unpaid tax and penalties. Be aware that the FTB’s collection process including liens and levies applies to unpaid penalties as well as taxes.
