Judy Chu named State Board of Equalization Chair

The five-member Board of Equalization unanimously approved Dr. Judy Chu as chair of the publicly elected tax board on January 31, 2008. The BOE also selected Betty T. Yee as vice chair. As chair, Chu will also serve as a voting member of the three-member Franchise Tax Board, along with the Mike Genest, Director of Finance, and John Chiang, State Controller (Chiang also sits on the five-member BOE with Chu).
