Local government personal income tax proposal

Assembly member Noreen Evans expects to introduce legislation in February that mirrors AB 1342, a bill she carried last year that would let cities and counties levy their own personal income taxes and vehicle license fees (VLF).

The bill is expected to allow local governments to place on the ballot a personal income tax and VLF. So, voters would make the decision.
