Proposition 8 fight will continue
Friday, November 18, 2011

On November 17, the federal appeals court stated that Proposition 8 sponsors can argue their case without the support of state elected officials, who refused to do so.

This is the next step in the fight over whether Proposition 8 is unconstitutional. Until the issue is decided otherwise, the state does not permit same-sex marriages.

At Spidell’s Federal/California Tax Update Seminar we will talk about:

  • What property tax is deductible
  • How the new federal Schedule D works
  • How to treat the sale of gold and silver
  • What happens if your client is selling stuff on e-Bay
  • New laws coming this year and old laws going away
