I have a client where we were filing a consolidated tax return with a wholly owned subsidiary.  Half way through the year, a reverse merger occurred and the parent company was closed.  Do I file a consolidated tax return for the first 6 months and a short period tax return for the former subsidiary which is the surviving entity?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
