The FTB will begin sending filing season notices later this week. Unfortunately, due to a system glitch they will not be sending courtesy e-mails to tax professionals notifying them that:
- One of their clients has received a notice;
- A Power of Attorney was approved or rejected; or
- A request for full MyFTB online account access was approved or denied.
Notices will continue to appear on practitioners’ Client Notices list in MyFTB as soon as the FTB sends them, and current online account access will be displayed in the practitioners’ Client List as well. Actions taken on POA declarations are listed on the Power of Attorney Activity page once an action is taken.
The courtesy e-mails to tax professionals that were delayed will still be sent once the system is restored. However, there is no current timeframe for a resolution.
