Southern California wildfire/mudslide victims have until April 30 to file/pay
Taxpayers who are victims of the Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura county wildfires, flooding, mudslides, and debris flows beginning December 4, 2017, have until April 30, 2018, to meet various filing and payment deadlines falling on or after December 4, 2017, and before April 30, 2018, including:
- Individual, C corporation, and estate and trust tax returns due on April 15, 2018;
- Partnership and S corporation returns due on March 15, 2018;
- Quarterly estimated tax payments due January 16, 2018; and
- Any other time-sensitive actions described in Treas. Regs. §301.7508A-1(c)(1) and Rev. Proc. 2007-56, including the filing of Form 5500 series returns.
The relief is available to taxpayers living in the disaster area, or whose business is located in the disaster area, or to taxpayers with business records in the disaster area.
