  • Find out what you need to know if you receive an IRS letter or notice
  • See what level of authorization is needed to talk to the IRS on your client’s behalf
  • Understand the delays and confusion of IRS operations during COVID-19
  • Learn the difference between Summary Assessment Notices, notices that propose additional tax, and collection notices
  • Figure out when to ask the Taxpayer Advocate Service to intervene and understand when TAS is limited in ability to intervene

  • CP 11, the IRS made changes to your return (now you figure out why)
  • CP 14, the first and most common notice sent to taxpayers
  • CP 5071C and similar identity verification notices
  • CP 2000 and similar under reported income notices
