Configuring downloaded PDF files to open in Adobe Reader
If you are having trouble downloading, viewing, or printing our newsletter, try this solution. The PDF file will be downloaded and will open in Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat) rather than in the default browser.
1. Open Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat, depending on which one is installed).
2. Click on Edit then click on Preferences
3. Under Categories click on Internet.
4. Uncheck Display PDF in browser under Web Browser Options. Click OK.
5. Close Adobe Reader/Acrobat and the default web browser (Internet Explorer).
When links to PDF documents are clicked, the PDF file will be downloaded and will open in Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat) rather than in the default browser. (Note: This affects ALL PDFs)
The
PDF file can be printed or saved to your computer from the File menu.
To change back to opening downloaded PDF files in the browser, re-check Display PDF in browser.
