Spidell seminars: The safety of our customers and our employees is our top priority.

With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Spidell understands that many of our customers have concerns. We would like to assure you that Spidell is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. We are proactively preparing for possible live seminar cancellations.

We will provide updates of any changes and other relevant information to our customers registered for a live seminar.

May seminars

In light of the CDC’s most recent recommendation to cancel or postpone in-person events with more than 50 people, Spidell Publishing has made the difficult decision to convert our 2020 Post-Tax Season Update and Review seminar dates to live webinars taking place in May.

We have already converted our live seminar registrants, to one of our live webinar dates. We sent e-mails to all affected customers informing them of this change. The email notifies you that you may attend the live webinar that is closest to the live seminar date you were registered for.

If you are unable to attend the webinar date that was chosen for you, you have several options:

  • You may switch to a different live seminar date;
  • You may switch to an on-demand webinar or self-study version of this course; or
  • You may request a full refund. Please call our Customer Service department at (714) 776-7850 for help with any of these options.
July seminars

If you have registered for the Summer Tax Seminar in July, we are monitoring the situation and if necessary will replace the live seminars with live webinar dates. You are welcome to switch to a webinar or a self-study at no cost, or request a full refund of your fee.

In the event we are able to hold live seminars, our normal refund policy applies. You will still be able to switch to a webinar or self-study for no additional fee. You may also request a full refund until seven days before the event. Within seven days of the event, we do charge a $50 cancellation fee unless you convert the seminar into a webinar or self-study.

Federal and California Tax Update

At this point we have not confirmed any live Federal and California Tax Update Seminar dates and locations, and we will not do so unless, and until, the Coronavirus situation is resolved to the point that it is safe to have live events. In the meantime, we will schedule multiple webinars for you to choose from.

We want you to rest assured that you will get the same quality material and speakers with our webinars that you get at our live seminars. Spidell is registered by NASBA, the IRS, CTEC, and the California Bar Association to provide live and on-demand webinars and self-studies.

Spidell is committed to providing you the CPE you need as safely as possible. We thank you for your patience as this situation continues to develop.
