California Board of Accountancy License Renewal
View More DetailsI am renewing my CPA license which expires on May 31, 2021. I have all of my required CPE hours except for Ethics and Regulatory Review which have been scheduled for June. I saw in May 2021 issue of the California Tax Letter that the Board of Accountancy has given an extension of time to September 30, 2021 to complete our CPE requirements.
Seeing as I need to send in my renewal application and pay the fee by May 31, 2021, how do I inform the Board that I will be completing my CPE after the renewal date and prior to the extended deadline? Also how do I report those hours after I complete them?

It is my understanding that you pay your fee, email your education forms, and you automatically get until Sept to complete your courses. I would put a note on you education forms that you email to them letting them know the date you will complete those courses.
